Amaranth – Nightwish

Hace tiempo (bueno, no mucho), el grupo finés Nightwish, echó a su cantante, Tarja Turunen, según tengo entendido, por ególatra, egoista y demás egos. Comenzaron las pruebas para encontrar vocalista, donde seleccionaron entre 2000 candidatos a Anette Olzon, en mayo de 2007. El primer single con la nueva cantante fue Eva, una especie de balada heavy (demasiado lenta para mi gusto).

El segundo single que el grupo ha sacado con Anette, Amaranth, me gusta mucho más, y si lo escucháis, sabréis por qué (un poco más abajo). El cambio de cantante se nota con diferencia, ya que la voz de Anette Olzon es mucho más aguda que la voz de Tarja Turunen, y, a mi gusto, más melódica, pero juzgad por vosotros mismos.

Krypteria – Victoriam Speramus

Vaya pechá de post que me voy a dar esta noche. Bueno, ahora os dejo una canción, que hace también mucho tiempo que no escuchamos nada nuevo ^^

La canción es de un grupo llamdo Krypteria, que es relativamente nuevo (tiene sólo 2 discos a fecha de hoy). Esta banda, de origen alemán, tiene un estilo de música muy similar al de Nigthwish. Esta canción, Victoriam Speramus, es de su primer disco, mucho más sosegado que el segundo, de tendencia más heavy. Por último, para los que no se hayan dado cuenta, el estribillo está en latín.

¿Qué escucha un friki?

Hace unas semanas, creo que en el blog anterior, y como ya dije, Threkk planteó el “curioso” hecho de que la mayoría de los frikis compartimos gustos y aficiones, incluyendo la música. Pues bien, aprovechándolo, creo oportuno de hacer un inciso mayor en el tema, definiendo el género musical exacto y, de paso, los grupos. Ello nos puede dar la oportunidad de ampliar nuestra colección musical con bandas de las que no habíamos oido ni hablar. Esta canción la volví a escuchar hace poco. Porque ya la había escuchado antes. Es una canción que, hasta ahora, no me había parado a ver su letra (que realmente todavía no he traducido) ya que lo que me atrajo desde un principio fue la música y, para ser más exactos, los violínes.

Hace tiempo que oí esta canción. O más bien, ví este video en el blog de Ulin, la Esquina Olvidada de la Biblioteca. He de decir que me gustó la música (mucho) y el video me impactó (pero gracias al vídeo, me aprendí el estribillo de memoria XD). La escuché asiduamente durante una temporada; pero la canción cayó en el olvido, en parte por culpa de x y en parte por culpa de y. La cuestión es que hoy he vuelto a ver en La Armada el vídeo.Y ya puestos, aprovecho y os lo pongo. La letra verdadera la podéis encontrar en La Esquina Olvidada de la Biblioteca más o menos en agosto.
